HR Generalist for a leading construction company - permanent, full-time position

Your new company

Hays are working with a leader in the construction industry to recruit an HR Generalist to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your new role

As an HR Generalist, you will be an integral part of the HR team and be responsible for providing professional HR guidance and support to managers and employees across the organisation.

  • Support with hiring activities including onboarding and off-boarding

  • Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries and provide advice on policy, procedures and best practice

  • Support line managers with employee relations matters

  • Support and guideline managers through the performance review processes
    Participate in a range of HR projects to enhance employee experience and engagement

  • Work with a continuous improvement mindset and make recommendations to improve procedures and workflows where appropriate

  • Keep HR records accurate and up to date

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience: 3–5 years' experience in an HR Generalist role

  • Proven experience in supporting HR projects and process improvement initiatives

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of HR practices and employment regulations

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills

  • Strong problem-solving abilities

  • Proficiency in MS Office

Desirable Criteria:

  • CIPD Part or Fully Qualified

3rd level qualification in an HR or Business-related discipline
