Your Role
The Infrastructure Specialist will work across a broad range of technologies, liaising with multiple areas of the business to support, design, evaluate, build, deliver, and maintain a secure and efficient infrastructure environment. They will provide specialist technical support and expertise across the workplace technology environment, covering enterprise digital workspace solutions, desktop operating systems, application packaging, configuration/patch management, unified communications, audiovisual solutions, and scheduling of project and core support activities. The role includes being the escalation point for the Infrastructure Services Team, managing high-priority incidents and problem records, and ensuring that implemented technology is supportable and maintainable. The specialist will also drive efficiencies in the total cost of ownership (TCO) of technology solutions.

What You Need to Succeed
The ideal candidate will have ideally
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a specialist architecture/support/delivery role within a medium to large organisation, with significant technical delivery/support responsibility.
  • Deep technical knowledge and expertise in the following technologies:
    • VMware, Storage, and Server platforms
    • Nutanix
    • Active Directory and multi-domain environments
    • Monitoring and alerting systems
    • Enterprise Cloud solutions
    • Backup, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery
    • Day-to-day and Data Centre operations in the platform's environment
    • Storage/Server platforms for production sites
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage high-priority incidents.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to work.
