Interim Assistant Accountant – Financial Accounting, Temporary, Remote, Full-time, up to £35,000

Your new role


The organisation requires some interim support. Your duties will consist of:

  • Preparation of UK CoE monthly management accounts, budgets and quarterly forecasts
  • Completion of monthly continuity and enrichment schedules in FCCS (ORACLE)
  • Completion of forms for the Office of National Statistics
  • Coding of internal recharges from Corporate
  • Preparation of month-end journals
  • Review and enter exchange rates and project rates into JD Edwards
  • Assist with the monthly intercompany reconciliation process and feedback to group companies (over 80 overseas entities)
  • Reconciliation of intercompany balances using BlackLine
  • Liaising with intercompany contacts to resolve invoicing queries and ensure timely payments
  • Raising intercompany invoices
  • Raising payment requests for intercompany payments
  • Assistance with the preparation of Corporation Tax packs for 15 statutory companies
  • Analysis and submission of related party transactions for parent company
  • Assisting with annual transfer pricing invoices
  • Providing data to auditors via Deloitte Connect


What you'll need to succeed

Ideally, you will be AAT qualified or Part-qualified in a recognised professional accountancy qualification. For this role you must have advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including use and set-up of Pivot tables and formulas. It would be really beneficial if you have experience of accounting software packages, preferably Oracle. This is a large organisation, where good communication, analytical skills, and time-keeping will be a must.
