Job Title: Interim Headteacher

Role Overview:
As the interim headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the school’s momentum during this transitional period. You’ll lead by example, ensuring that our school continues to thrive academically, socially, and culturally. Your leadership will inspire both staff and students, fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.

Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement a clear vision for the school, aligning with our core values.
    • Collaborate with governors, staff, and parents to set strategic goals and priorities.
  2. Operational Management:
    • Oversee day-to-day operations, including timetabling, resource allocation, and facilities management.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and educational standards.
  3. Educational Excellence:
    • Monitor teaching and learning quality, providing guidance to staff for continuous improvement.
    • Champion innovative teaching methods and curriculum development.
  4. Student Welfare and Inclusion:
    • Promote a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for all students.
    • Address individual needs and support student well-being.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Foster positive relationships with parents, local authorities, and community partners.
    • Represent the school at relevant meetings and events.

Requirements:
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) and substantial leadership experience.
  • Proven track record of successful school leadership, ideally within a secondary school context.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
