Interim Management Accountant job in Devon

Job Advert: Interim Management Accountant
Location: Teignmouth, Devon
Type: Interim (Temporary)
Duration: Up to 9 months
Working Hours: Full-time
Working Arrangement: Hybrid working available
Pay Rate: £200 - £300 per day
Start Date: ASAP Parking: Available

About the Company:
Hays are working with a growing manufacturing company based in Teignmouth, Devon, producing components for a large tech company which operates on a global scale. The finance team consists of five dedicated professionals, and they are seeking an Interim Management Accountant to join us and support our continued growth for 9 months, whilst a colleague is off on maternity leave.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare management accounts and financial reports
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making
  • Support the audit process and liaise with external auditors
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting

Requirements:
  • Ideally fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), but we will consider candidates who are Qualified by Experience (QBE)
  • Strong knowledge of management accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
