Are you an experienced IT Project Manager with a knack for handling high-stakes projects? We have an exciting opportunity for you!

Job Overview:

As an IT Project Manager for M&A, you will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of sensitive initiatives, ensuring IT assets and systems are efficiently and securely managed. This role demands excellent project management skills, attention to detail, and experience with confidential projects, particularly in environments with sensitive data or regulatory considerations.

  • Location: Cambridge – office/travel-based role (up to once per week at home)
  • Daily Rate: £700 per day through umbrella
  • Contract Length: 6 months
  • Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver projects using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, adhering to our client's standard processes and frameworks.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, establishing clear communication and managing expectations.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, architects, and technical leads to track activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Produce high-quality project status updates and reports within a defined governance structure.
  • Create comprehensive project documentation, including PID, Plans, RAID logs, and Closure Reports.
  • Lead a global, multi-functional team to deliver projects with a clear critical path.
  • Align with our client's change management processes and reviews.
  • Interact and influence senior stakeholders, making and guiding plans, and booking meetings.

Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience in M&A projects, leading IT workstreams within larger M&A programmes.
  • Over 5 years of experience in agile and/or waterfall project management environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with delivery teams and business partners.
  • Excellent time management, prioritisation, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
