Your new company
HAYS Architecture & Design NI are proud to be working in collaboration with a progressive Studio, based in West Belfast, in their search for a Junior Architectural Technologist. This is an exciting opportunity, as due to strong retention & low staff turnover, they seldom have the need to add to their headcount - but with a compelling range of workload, sincere development and support on offer, and an attractive office space & experience existing staff - this could be the position you've been looking for to really bring your early design career onto upward trajectory. With them being an early adopter of BIM / Revit, and consistently winning awards over recent time, apply early to avoid missing out.
Your new role
As a Junior Architectural Technologist, you'll work within the wider Projects team, under an Architect & Senior Technologist, responsible for producing technically sound architectural deliverables (drawings / specifications / detailing / schedules) using Revit / AutoCAD, ensuring accordance with building standards and regulations. You'll also be involved with site visits, surveys and interfacing with wider design teams (3rd parties / sub-contractors / suppliers etc.) in order to keep a collaborative, joined up approach on live works. You'll be part of bringing projects through RIBA stages, developing your foundational skills to becoming a rounded member of the team.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll have a relevant Architectural Technology degree (Architectural Technology & Management or equivalent), with 1-2 years+ experience of working in a design office environment (placement years will be considered). You will have worked on Architectural projects covering Residential / Industrial / Commercial / Community or Heritage / Education, and have proficiency in the use of Revit software and experience compiling technical packs for projects, as well as navigating planning & building control procedures.
What you'll get in return
A full-time position with a progressive Architectural Studio who place a strong emphasis on the development and success of their staff. Based in a convenient part of Belfast, with on-site parking nearby, their office space promotes creativity and their experienced, approachable team will ensure that you will be supported as you settle in, with the workload they do meaning you'll have a dynamic, challenging-yet-rewarding position with them.
