Your new school:
We are seeking a dedicated KS1 supply teacher in the Redditch area who prioritises children’s learning, development, and overall wellbeing. This role involves collaboration with Hays Education, one of the leading recruitment agencies for primary schools in Redditch. We offer both day-to-day and long-term opportunities.
As a supply teacher, you will manage the classroom and teach in the absence of the original teacher. You may be required to plan lessons, for which additional payment will be provided. Any issues, including safeguarding concerns, must be reported to the teacher or the on-duty DSL. The flexibility of supply teaching makes it suitable for individuals balancing other commitments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Covering sickness, paternity, and maternity leave
- Managing classroom dynamics
- Delivering engaging lessons
- Maintaining continuity in children's learning
- Marking books per school policy
- Providing constructive feedback
- Ensuring adherence to behavioural policies

You should be:
- An outstanding practitioner eager to make a positive impact in KS1
- Skilled at engaging and enthusing pupils in their learning
- Knowledgeable about assessment, feedback, and differentiation
- Recent teaching experience within the last five years
- Hold a QTS, PGCE, or ECT qualification
