Define & deliver the IR & ER strategy for a national, unionised commercial business

Global firm with an excellent reputation in their market that is experiencing sequential years of growth. Due to their positioning and business aspirations, they are investing in their UK people ops team.

Joining an established people team, led by a UK-based Senior People Director, you will spearhead the IR & ER strategy for the UK business, which is 3,000 unionised, site-based employees as well as a corporate population. You will lead and develop a national team of ER / IR specialists that ultimately provide an advisory service to the business, and compliment the people partnering team. You drive cultural change within the business in response to performance and build effective relationships with the unions.

As the IR & ER Lead, you will be skilled in implementing a proactive IR & ER strategy that supports business goals. You will be accustomed to building successful, impactful relationships with unions and be well versed in collective bargaining as well as sensitive ER matters. You will also be able to lead and develop IR / ER teams that successfully support a matrix business and people partnering team. It will be useful if you enjoy working in a commercial environment and thrive in driving change. Naturally, you will be an expert in UK employment law.

Salary is c£85,000 - £90,000 with bonus and generous WFH / flex.
