A secondary school in Sheffield is looking for an SEN LSA to support their school.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team for a long-term, full-time role. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance to students, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and can achieve their full potential. This role involves working with students who have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCPs.
  • Support students in developing social skills and managing behaviour.
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt and differentiate classroom materials.
  • Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • MUST have previous experience as an LSA within a secondary school in Sheffield.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or child development (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
