  • Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
  • Location: Leicester City Centre
  • Salary: £90 - £100 per day
  • Contract Type: Long-term temporary assignment – until Easter initially.
  • Start Date: 6th January 2025.

Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work with students aged 9 to 16, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs. This role involves working closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure our students receive the best possible education and care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support for students with SEMH and PMLD needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Support students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and academic abilities.
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt and differentiate lesson plans and materials.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
  • Assist with personal care tasks as required.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH and PMLD needs is highly desirable.
  • A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
