The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea is seeking an Electrical Project Manager for their housing team.

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Council is dedicated to delivering high-quality housing projects that meet the needs of our diverse community. Their Housing Capital Delivery team is at the forefront of this mission, ensuring that their projects are completed to the highest standards. Typical projects include end of lifecycle projects, refurbishment projects, carbon net-zero and improvement projects. The team is built of 11 staff ranging from Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and business support. The capital delivery team is one of many teams that make up the Housing Directorate, with this particular team being subject-matter experts for M&E and construction.

Your new role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated M&E Project Manager with a strong electrical focus to join the Housing Capital Delivery team. Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Manage and deliver Housing electrical projects including renewal of Rising & Lateral Mains Cables & Associated Equipment from inception to completion/handover
  • Oversee design sign-off, specification writing, and tender processes.
  • Contract manage and project manage throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct pre- and post-inspections to ensure project standards are met.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on project progress and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved.

What you'll need to succeed

We would be keen to speak candidates with a Beng or HND/HNC in Building Services or Electrical Engineering, . You must have a proven track record of managing electrical housing projects from inception to completion and in turn, have strong knowledge of electrical systems and building services. You must have the capability to demonstrate excellent communication and report writing skills, and have the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and stakeholders.
