Location: Bury St Edmunds

Are you a skilled Maintenance Technician with a broad range of maintenance skills? Do you possess basic knowledge of plumbing, electrics, basic carpentry, and painting? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
Our client, a reputable organisation in Suffolk, is seeking a Temporary Maintenance Technician to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic chance to showcase your expertise and contribute to the smooth operation of various facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct basic plumbing repairs and maintenance tasks, such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures.
  • Performing simple electrical repairs and troubleshooting, such as changing light bulbs, replacing switches.
  • Carry out basic carpentry work, including repairing furniture, assembling shelves, and fixing doors.
  • Undertake painting tasks, such as preparing surfaces, applying coats of paint, and ensuring a neat and professional finish.
  • Respond swiftly to maintenance requests and prioritise tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including completed tasks, materials used, and any relevant observations.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrics, basic carpentry, and painting.
  • Demonstrated experience in carrying out maintenance tasks in a professional setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check in place.
