Marketing & Communications Manager - Exeter based (Hybrid)
Your new company
This is a rare opportunity to work in a large, complex public service organisation. You will be required to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally, on an exciting project that spans all divisions within the organisation. This post will be offered on an initial three-month contract with the potential for further extension.
Your new role
You will develop and deliver a marketing plan for a newly formed centre. You will analyse the market, develop marketing channels and deliver marketing communications campaigns, targeting partner and fundraising organisations. Working in conjunction with the Head of Marketing, COO and Director of Business Development, you will conduct research and provide market insights to shape the offering and value proposition to potential business partners. You will work with colleagues to plan campaigns, taking the lead in identifying the best channels, target audiences, developing the messaging and support delivery and evaluation. You will also be responsible for the development and delivery of communications plans for the organisation's sustainability strategy, increasing sustainable and pro-environmental behaviour amongst staff. You will write concise and accurate copy for a range of online and offline channels, including brochures, information packs, press releases, websites and social media. You will also arrange and / or support the planning and delivery of events.
What you'll need to succeed
This role is suited to a skilled and experienced marketing communications professional who is organised, creative and proactive. You will have considerable knowledge and experience of working in multi-faceted marketing communications positions, successfully managing multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally, at all levels. You will have excellent presentation skills, and an ability to write complex concepts and facts in clear and easy to understand language, both verbally and in written materials. The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines is essential, as is the ability to work autonomously or as part of a wider team, as required.
A CIM or CIPR qualification would be desirable, although not essential for this post.
What you'll get in return
This is an initial three-month contract with the possibility for extension. £27.27 per hour (including holiday allowance).
Hybrid working options are available, but with a minimum of one day per week being on-site in Exeter.
