Your new company

I'm looking for a dynamic and driven Marketing Manager to join an award-winning legal marketing team, based in their Manchester office, a team nationally recognised for its excellence.

Your new role

The ideal candidate will have a background in marketing within the professional services sector, with experience in both online and offline campaign development and leadership. A strong focus on digital marketing and content creation is essential, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with senior managers.
You should be proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, CMS platforms, social media, and other digital tools, with a solid grasp of content planning, creation, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute an annual marketing plan.
  • Manage the relationship with the firm's digital agency, overseeing website and PPC campaigns, and onsite content.
  • Ensure the website pages are current and effective, coordinating with the digital agency for timely content approval.
  • Evaluate digital campaign success, translating data into actionable insights and regularly optimising campaigns.
  • Produce various website content, including blogs, vlogs, and videos, in collaboration with the firm's videographer.
  • Write engaging case studies for the website.
  • Collaborate with the Social Media & Content Manager on organic social media content and monitor paid social media campaigns.
  • Work with the Director of Communications to generate positive media coverage through PR stories.
  • Foster relationships with supported charities, providing communications and organising legal clinics and other initiatives.
  • Plan and manage events, seminars, and conferences, handling logistics and attendee management.
  • Assist with legal directory submissions and award entries for the department.
  • Maintain up-to-date professional contacts in the firm's CRM and prepare invitee lists for events.
  • Help plan and manage the department's marketing budget.
  • Report on marketing campaign effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Order branded merchandise and print materials as needed.
  • Align marketing campaigns with the central marketing team and the PI Marketing Manager.

What you'll need to succeed

  • At least 5 years of marketing experience in a similar role, preferably within professional services.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate confidently in a corporate environment.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong internal relationships.
  • Excellent writing skills for creating content such as case studies and brochures.
  • In-depth understanding of digital marketing and analytics for campaign monitoring and reporting.
  • Initiative, enthusiasm, flexibility, and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in IT, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, CRM systems, and CMS.
