A new and exclusive opportunity for a Materials Planner based within Scunthorpe on a permanent basis. As Materials Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring all planning, releasing and shipment of parts is done accurately and on time. To ensure all correspondence and communications with the customer are carried in a timely and professional manner at all times. Become the go-to person for your area of responsibility
Key duties include:
- Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate communications
- Analyse and interpret customer schedule requirements to ensure on-time deliveries
- Ensure the material planning cycle is accurately reflected in our MRP (Material Planning) system
- Enter or maintain customer schedules, via EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and other processes in an accurate and timely manner.
- To be responsible for and the first point of contact for specific customers; maintain and develop existing customer’s development plans and progress shortages to ensure on-time deliveries
- Analyse, evaluate and action MRP to ensure maximum on-time deliveries with minimum inventory holding
- Continually work to improve working processes, on-time deliveries and cost reductions in conjunction with other departments
- Maintain data integrity and support finance, quality and dispatch teams with day to day operations
- Support other team members customers as required
- Liaise and attend meetings with other departments to aid business and organisational development
