Medical Photographer - Excellent Opportunity for Photography Graduates

Operating across three hospital sites, this West Midlands Trust offers a specialised photography service, supporting clinical and educational needs with high-quality imagery.
Your new role
As part of the Medical Illustration Photography Service, your primary responsibility will be to provide a clinical support service, taking photographs for patient notes, legal documentation, teaching purposes and clinical trials.
You’ll gain hands-on experience, learning to employ highly specialised techniques like ultraviolet fluorescence, infrared reflection and intraoral photography, using complex camera and lighting systems.
Your role will be diverse, with time spent across three different sites, working in the studio, on wards, in clinics and in operating theatres, in a patient-facing environment.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel within this role, you will be willing to learn and develop new skills, as you’ll be taught many specialised techniques to employ in a protocol-driven environment.
- The successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in photography, or equivalent, and demonstrate a genuine interest in the field of medical photography.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you’ll be interacting with patients in often sensitive situations.
- The right candidate will also be a team player, who thrives in a collaborative environment and makes the most of every learning opportunity.
