Oracle Transition Manager

Your new company

You will be working for a well-known organisation based in Birmingham. This is a 6-month contract and the role is outside the scope of IR35. The requirement will be to be on-site 2–3 days a week in Birmingham City Centre.


Your new role

My clients are part way through an Oracle Finance and HR system programme which seeks to both rectify existing immediate weaknesses and gaps in the current Oracle cloud solution at the same time as designing and implementing a full re-implementation of Oracle.

The reimplementation includes both the Oracle solution and an Income Management Solution provided by Civica.

My client are looking for a Transition Manager, responsible for overseeing the successful transition of the business, technical and operational aspect of the Programme. From the planning and development phases to full operational status. This individual ensures that all aspects of the programme are aligned with business objectives, and that any changes are implemented smoothly and effectively.
Key Deliverables:
  • Planning and Coordination: Develop comprehensive transition plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, to ensure seamless programme implementation.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with key stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and team members, to communicate progress, address concerns, and secure necessary support.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues related to the transition and develop mitigation strategies to minimise impact on program delivery.
  • Change Management: Facilitate change management processes to ensure that all team members and stakeholders are prepared for and supportive of the transition.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and evaluate the performance of the programme during the transition phase and ensure that it meets established goals and objectives.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of transition plans, progress reports, and any issues that arise, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Expected timeline:
It expected that these deliverables will be continue from the existing contract and will be completed within 6 months of the contract commencement date.
Further deliverables may be requested at the end of this initial request.

Essential Skills and Experience Required
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with experience in developing and executing complex transition plans.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to diverse audiences.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing cross-functional teams and driving change initiatives.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to navigate changing circumstances and priorities during the transition process.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Oracle ERP implementations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
