A Wakefield Nursery School is looking for a part-time Early Years Teaching Assistant to support SEN pupils.

Part-time Early Years Teaching Assistant Job, Wakefield

I am currently working with one of my favourite Wakefield schools to find a Level 2 qualified (or above) Early Years Teaching Assistant to join them for the rest of the academic year on a part-time basis. The school is well-connected by bus and train just outside Wakefield town centre. They are a superb team who love working together and all the staff I have had work here previously have loved it.
The school is a true home from home. The rooms are split to cover the different early years groups and are set out with comfortable furniture, interactive areas of provision based on the children's interests and all the rooms have continuous access to an outstanding outdoor provision.
Children truly thrive in this setting and are encouraged to develop their independent learning skills, curiosity and confidence. It is a beautiful setting that I highly recommend visiting!

Part-time Early Years Teaching Assistant

This role is working every day of the week, Monday-Friday, from 9am until 1pm.
They are anticipating the role to continue for the rest of the academic year, but there is the chance for the role to become permanent for the right candidate, as they often snap up great talent working there on supply!
The role would be working in the SEN room supporting children with additional needs. The role needs someone with a calm, caring and respectful approach to childcare. Experience of working with SEN pupils in an Early Years setting would be an advantage but isn't essential. However, a minimum of a Level 2 Early Years qualification is.
*If you are unsure if your qualification is suitable, then please give me a call to discuss using the details in the advert.

What you'll get in return
  • Competitive daily rates of pay
  • A wonderful work environment where the staff respect each other and work well as a team
  • Regular, long-term work with the potential of permanent work in the future
  • Your own dedicated primary education consultant
