This is an extremely exciting role for an experienced Finance leader to join the company during a period of ambitious growth and expansion. The Finance Director will be responsible for running the financial function and supporting the overall company strategy by utilising technologies and best-practice processes. This individual will work closely with, and provide first class reporting to the CEO, SMT, Board and Investors. You will support and manage a financial controller. The Finance Director will play a key strategic role in helping to drive new capital raises and business expansion into new markets, products and services.

Finance Director Primary Roles & Responsibilities
Financial Planning and Strategy:
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and budgets to support the organisation’s long-term growth and profitability goals.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team.
Financial Management and Reporting:
  • Oversee the preparation of financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Strong analytical and modelling skills.
  • Monitor and manage the company’s financial performance and KPIs.

Risk Management:
  • Identify, assess, and manage financial risks to protect the company's assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Develop risk management policies and procedures.
Investment and Fund Management:
  • Manage investment activities which could include fundraising and/or debt.
  • Experience of raising capital, creating investment materials.
  • Oversee cash flow management and capital allocation.
Operational Efficiency:
  • Enhance financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement and manage financial software and systems.
Leadership and Team Development:
  • Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring continuous professional development and high performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the finance department.
Compliance and Audit:
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
  • International Tax experience.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Communicate financial information and strategy to stakeholders, including the board of directors, investors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, investors, and other financial institutions.
Cost Management and Profitability:
  • Analyse financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
  • Monitor operational expenditures to ensure alignment with budgets and financial goals.
