FULL-TIME OR PART-TIME PAYROLL ASSISTANT JOB

Your new company

Based in Glasgow City Centre, our client is currently seeking a Payroll Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis. The position is office-based with the opportunity to adopt a hybrid arrangement following training and successful onboarding. This role is flexible and both options of full-time (35 hours a week) or part-time (21 hours a week) are available. Our client is looking for someone on a temporary basis to assist them while they go through a new system implementation. The role will be until the end of July. This temporary position offers a unique chance to contribute to a significant project, providing valuable insights and hands-on experience with the latest system technologies.

Your new role

In your new role, you will be responsible for carrying out the following duties:

  • Processing payroll data implementation
  • Staying up-to-date with all legislation and regulations
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities for existing employees
  • Proactively managing customer enquiries via phone and email
  • Maintaining accurate financial records
  • Allocating receipts in the system and resolving disputed accounts
  • Ensuring all customer receipts are made in accordance with payment terms
  • Preparing and distributing month-end reports
  • Setting up new customer accounts
  • Establishing good working relationships with all employees

The ideal candidate will also be willing to assist with the wider finance function, including transactional processing and general ad hoc finance administration.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate must have had previous experience in a similar position with the ability to join and hit the ground running. You must also have the ability to communicate clearly with others in both written and verbal formats. Experience with CHRIS21 or iTrent, or both, is required. Alternatively, experience with a wide range of different systems would be advantageous.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will have the opportunity to be involved in a new system implementation, broadening your skills and experience. You will gain relevant industry experience, receive a competitive salary, and benefit from a hybrid working model.
