Hays are delighted to be recruiting a Construction Planner for a leading construction company based in Belfast, who are long-established locally, across various sectors including Fit Out and FM. This company has built an impressive portfolio of works over a rich operational history. The firm boasts an impressive client base, working with some of the UK & Ireland’s biggest names in the Retail, Commercial, Hospitality & Leisure sectors. Your new role

The Project Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating aspects of Facilities Management (FM) projects and larger Fit out projects. This role ensures efficient project execution and optimal use of resources. The Project Programmer will work closely with the Operations teams and other team members in both the FM and Fitout parts of the business to achieve project goals and contribute to the overall success of project delivery.

What you’ll need to succeed
As Project Programmer, your main skills and experience will include the following criteria:

  • Have experience in project programming, including the ability to manage multiple project programs simultaneously
  • Experience of NEC and other forms of contract
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Proficiency in using project management software (e.g., MS Project, or similar)
  • Ability to analyse project data and provide recommendations for operations around decisions
  • Ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, including team members, clients, and the supply chain
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
