Principal Engineer, Maintenance, Central London Hospital

A world renowned acute specialist paediatric hospital based in central London.
Your new role
The role will be to coordinate, develop and help manage the engineering team including existing or yet to be appointed subject-matter expert and relevant APs to ensure overall engineering compliance and safety (including oversight and audit of the various Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) for all Mechanical and Electrical disciplines to Fabric including but not limited to Asbestos, confined spaces and working at height).
Whilst the role will be to help oversee and coordinate all APs aspects of the hard FM Service (as well as to be part of all external AE audits to allow an overall and ‘overview’ compliance understanding, to manage the outcomes) a strong building services mechanical engineering bias would be an advantage to this role (as this is a subject matter area the Trust recognises it needs to develop better resilience and compliance).
What you'll need to succeed
- Current Chartered Engineer or working towards accreditation
- Professional knowledge acquired through degree or equivalent plus specialist knowledge engineering or construction related
- Minimum degree level qualification in an appropriate building services discipline or equivalent
- Highly developed advanced technical, practical, and theoretical knowledge of complex hospital engineering systems
- An appropriate management qualification
- Member of an engineering institution ,IHEEM preferably
