• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project goals and company objectives.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favourable terms and conditions.
• Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify procurement needs and develop specifications.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
• Monitor and report on procurement performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
• Foster strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure long-term collaboration and success.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in procurement, preferably within the infrastructure or construction sector.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of procurement best practices and market trends.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CIPS) are highly desirable.

What you'll get in return

This role is a 6-to-12-month assignment, paying between £500 and £600 per day.
