Procurement Manager - Indirects

We are currently partnered with an organisation based in Swindon to help recruit a Procurement Manager into their growing team on a permanent basis. The role will be paying c. £45,000, with a hybrid working pattern and a generous benefits package.


Your new role

  • Conducting market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings.
  • Negotiating terms and conditions to secure the best possible prices and quality.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations during the procurement process.
  • Analysing the current supplier base to identify opportunities for consolidation and cost savings.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains.
  • Implementing supplier performance metrics and conducting regular reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Developing and implementing category management plans to optimise procurement activities.
  • Identifying and leveraging strategic sourcing opportunities to achieve cost reductions and efficiency gains.
  • Overseeing the entire procurement lifecycle from requisition to contract tender.
  • Managing contract renewals and amendments to maintain up-to-date agreements.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing procurement activities across various indirect categories.
  • Proven track record of achieving cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • In-depth knowledge of contract law principles and practices.
  • Experience of drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts to protect company interests.
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs.
