The Professional Indemnity department is actively recruiting a Solicitor (with 0-5 years of post-qualification experience) to support existing team members in the expanding Professional Indemnity Team based in London. The role will entail managing a caseload of smaller professional indemnity claims and assisting lead partners with high-value, multi-party claims. The London team handles claims involving various professionals, including solicitors, conveyancers, surveyors, architects, and engineers. Additionally, they provide advice on intricate policy matters.
Furthermore, there are promising secondment opportunities on the horizon.

What you'll need to succeed

• Claimant professional indemnity experience (ideal)
• Have previously handled own cases of £200 - £500 million in value (ideal)
• litigation experience
• Reviewing evidence
• A knowledge and understanding of the types of disputes handled by the department and claims handled by the department’s insurer clients
• An ability to communicate in writing and prepare succinct and concise reports
• Ability to pay attention to detail
• Ability to work with case management systems
• The personal skills to deal with such work as major and expensive litigation involving liaison with senior claims handlers
