Project Manager - Permanent - Main Contractor - Birmingham - Severn Trent Water Projects - Hybrid Working

Your new company

You will be joining an industry-leading main contractor based in the Birmingham area operating in the water sector. Having secured a place on Severn Trent’s AMP8 framework, this contractor offers a strong pipeline of work as well as excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to continued success, they are looking to strengthen their management team and onboard a Project Manager to join their business.

This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Birmingham office with occasional site travel and hybrid working.

Your new role

As Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Overseeing all aspects of project delivery from inception through to completion and handover
  • Creating and maintaining project programmes as well as producing forecasts and procurement schedules
  • Monitoring and reviewing financial and delivery performance
  • Coordinating with subcontractors are clients regarding health and safety inspections and audits
  • Liaising with delivery teams and coordinating site activities to ensure project programmes are maintained
  • Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to specified quality.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful, you must have:
  • Proven successful experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in the water industry
  • Sound understanding of NEC contracts, CDM regulations and health and safety
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Full UK driving licence.
