IT Project Manager



  • Salary: £45,000 Per Annum
  • Working pattern: Remote occasional travel to Peterborough
  • Contract: 9 month FTC
Job Purpose:
We are seeking a dynamic IT Project Manager to oversee all IT Department projects and coordinate the department's contributions to broader group initiatives. This role involves efficiently onboarding new schools into the group, managing all technical aspects of IT.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management:
    Deliver effective project management using methodologies such as Agile, Prince2, or ITIL, ensuring projects are supported from inception to closure while minimising risks.
  • Technical Onboarding:
    Owning the technical onboarding of new schools, providing remote and onsite support for the first three months, and transitioning support to the Technology Specialist team/IT Cluster thereafter.
  • Central IT Operations:
    Contribute to the wider central IT operations as needed.


Key Skills and Requirements:
  • Experience:
    Proven experience in project management, managing virtualized and clustered Windows networks, cloud-based platforms (particularly Azure), Office 365 implementation, and Windows client/server operating systems.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    Extensive experience in maintaining hardware systems.
  • Communication:
    Ability to simplify complex concepts, with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving:
    Effective problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Planning:
    Strong planning skills, capable of developing structured plans with limited initial information.
  • Teamwork:
    Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
