Are you a compassionate and motivated Social Worker looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Social Worker to join a Fostering team within the Surrey area. They are committed to providing safe, nurturing, and supportive environments for children and young people. Working collaboratively with foster carers, children, and families to ensure the best outcomes for those in their care.


Your new role

  • Assess and support prospective and approved foster carers.
  • Conduct regular home visits and provide ongoing support to foster families.
  • Develop and implement care plans for children and young people in foster care.
  • Conduct Special Guardianship Order (SGO) assessments.
  • Work closely with other professionals, including health and education services, to ensure holistic support.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance professional skills.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with statutory requirements.


What you'll need to succeed

We are seeking a qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England with:

  • Experience working with children and young people, alongside a thorough understanding of legislation related to Looked After Children and Care Proceedings
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to produce clear, evidence-based assessments
  • Confidence in working closely with the public, foster carers, and young people, establishing meaningful, multi-agency relationships
  • Flexibility to travel across Surrey and beyond, ensuring we meet the needs of young people countywide
