We have a great opportunity for a Quality & Environmental Manager with an exciting company Co Down.

Your new company

A leading manufacturing company with a unique breadth of capabilities. They have a wide variety of sectors they supply to such as Defence, Aerospace, Telecoms and Gas and Oil. Due to new products and orders they have an exciting opportunity for a Quality and Environmental Manager.


Your new role

This role will involve leading the Quality Assurance Department to ensure continued registration & compliance to ISO9001 and ISO14001 and maintaining relevant policies and procedures relating to the business management system. You will ensure that quality standards are communicated effectively, and appropriate training is delivered to employee`s throughout the organisation whilst rigorously maintaining quality standards as well as develop and maintain effective control information; monitor all sections closely and institute early effective corrective/preventive actions where performance/costs are not to the required standards. You will establish, maintain and develop a close working relationship with effective two-way communications with all internal stakeholders & customers and effectively lead & contribute to the improvement of productivity, cost effectiveness and consistency of product quality throughout the factory.

You will report into the Managing Director and have a team of 4 Quality Engineers report to you.

Hours of work:

Choice of 4 day week or 4.5 day week.

What you'll need to succeed

Ideally you will come with a degree and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a similar role. Previous experience of ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 will be required and experience within the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will have the ability to get all the team on board and have excellent communication skills to liaise professionally with clients and suppliers.
