Sales Administrator

Hays are working on an exclusive basis with a well established business in Telford looking for a Sales Administrator on a permanent basis. This is an exciting, varied opportunity.

Your new role

As a Sales Administrator, the position supporting a team and duties include:
  • Sales Support: Assist the sales team with administrative tasks, including order processing, invoicing, and customer enquiries.
  • Customs Documentation: Prepare and manage all necessary customs documentation for international shipments, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing client queries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, customer interactions, and shipment details in our CRM system.
  • Coordination: Liaise with logistics providers, customs brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods.
  • Reporting: Generate regular reports on sales performance, shipment status, and customs compliance.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline sales and customs processes for increased efficiency.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales administration and customs procedures.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs documentation, and compliance requirements.

  • Skills: Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.

  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
