Your new role

  • Maintain and update manual and computerised records on SIMS, including records of free school meals, school trips, registers etc.
  • Undertake reception duties, including answering telephone calls and responding to routine queries.
  • Manage the school’s attendance database, including maintenance and monitoring of attendance records/absences in line with legislation and regulations.
  • Undertake first-day contact with parents/carers.
  • Liaise with other staff regarding persistent absentees, follow through incomplete registrations, and reasons for absence.
  • Produce lists, information, and run reports relating to attendance data.
  • Carry out home visits with the Family Learning Mentor for absences not reported.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience working in an administrative role, ideally within a school.
