Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials for science lessons and practical experiments.
  • Assist teachers and students during laboratory sessions, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Maintain and organise laboratory equipment, chemicals, and supplies, ensuring they are stored safely and securely.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on laboratory equipment.
  • Manage inventory and order new supplies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and school policies.
  • Support the development and implementation of engaging science activities and projects.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to students and staff.

Qualifications and Skills
  • A degree or relevant qualification in a science-related field.
  • Previous experience working in a laboratory or educational setting.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to safety
  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and technology
