Opportunity to join UAL's growing architecture practice as a Security Architect

Digital & Technology at UAL is on an exciting journey, transitioning from a ‘classic’ IT approach to a user-centred product approach to technology. We are investing in our people, and the processes enabled by digital, to evolve and transform the student and staff experience at UAL.

The Security Architect will lead the development and implementation of UAL’s security architecture and strategy, embedding robust security design across the organisation. Reporting to the Director of Architecture and Data, this role combines strategic projects, business-as-usual (BAU) support for the Cybersecurity team, and architectural guidance to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant technology solutions. The Security Architect will work closely with the Head of Cyber Security and other stakeholders to align security practices with enterprise goals.


Experience
  • Knowledge and experience with security frameworks such as CISSP, CRISC, ISO27001, Cyber Essentials, and NCSC Cyber Security Principles.
  • Significant experience in public cloud platforms, including Azure and AWS (GCP desirable).
  • Proven ability to develop security architectures for virtualized, on-premises, cloud, or hybrid environments.
  • Demonstrable experience in setting and implementing security architecture strategies and building large-scale, complex enterprise architecture solutions addressing security, availability, and recovery
  • Expertise or experience in Zero trust network architecture
