EXPERIENCED SEND TEACHING ASSISTANT - NORTH BIRMINGHAM - PRIMARY

SEN Teaching Assistant – North Birmingham

Your new company
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities? Do you have the skills and experience to help them achieve their full potential? Our school in the North of Birmingham is seeking a teaching assistant to support children who have SEN.

Your new role
This role will involve supporting individual children or small groups of children to access personalised learning, while supporting our whole school value of inclusion. They are looking for a dedicated practitioner with experience of working with children with SEND as well as General Teaching Assistant needs. A good standard of spoken and written English is essential, as is a good standard of numeracy. You may be based in the school’s hub, where pupils who find it difficult to manage in larger groups have their lessons.
This is a full-time, long-term role which is to start immediately.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have a Level 3 for teaching assistant or equivalent qualification and recent experience working in a school setting; it would be advantageous if you have prior experience working with children with SEND. In addition to this, we will require two satisfactory references.

What you'll get in return

Here at Hays, we offer several benefits:

You will be paid a competitive daily wage, based on your experience. You will accrue holiday pay with the option to take it at any point of the year. You will receive free, up-to-date safeguarding training. You will also have a consultant available to you who will support you throughout your role.

Also, there are opportunities to earn £350 in vouchers when you refer a friend to Hays!
