• Lead SEN Strategy:
  Develop and implement the school's SEN strategy and policy, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
• Coordinate SEN Support:
  Oversee the identification, assessment, and provision for students with SEN across all key stages.
• Support and Develop Staff:
  Provide training, guidance, and support to teachers and support staff on effective SEN strategies and interventions.
• Individual Education Plans (IEPs):
  Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create and review IEPs tailored to each student's needs.
• Monitor and Evaluate:
  Regularly monitor the progress of SEN students, using data to inform and adjust support strategies.
• Liaise with External Agencies:
  Work closely with educational psychologists, health professionals, and other external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students.
• Promote Inclusive Practices:
  Foster an inclusive school culture where all students feel valued and supported.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS):
  Essential for this role.
• Extensive SEN Experience:
  Significant experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally across multiple key stages.
• Leadership Skills:
  Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent Communication:
  The ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and external agencies.
• Commitment to Inclusion:
  A deep commitment to promoting inclusive education and supporting the needs of all students.
• Relevant Qualifications:
  Additional qualifications in SEN (e.g., NASENCO award) are highly desirable.
