Your new school
This primary school situated in BANES is looking for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team come September, working full-time in and out of the classroom with a multitude of students, dependent on the needs of the day. You will be working in different classrooms before and after lunch with assistance assistance on which children need assistance and when. Helping children of all ages throughout the entirety of school. This BS40 school is on public transport routes and has an available car park also.
Your new role
With this SEND Teaching Assistant role, you will be taking on a leading role in the classroom, taking children out of lessons to give them the extra help that they need with one-to-one learning away from the class. You will be delivering specific interventions and supporting children with EHCPs. The role includes meeting the children at the start of the day and handing over the child to their parents/guardian at the end of the day too. There will be a SEND focus on speech and language sessions and numeracy whilst also supporting the children with care.
Requirements to succeed in your new role
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification
- Two working references from your most recent jobs that apply relevance to the position
- Previous experience with SEND Children is required
