Your new company
HAYS Architecture & Design NI are proud to be working in collaboration again with a renowned interiors specialist in their search for a Senior Interior Designer to become part of their team. With an unrivalled profile across the province as the go-to team for ultra-high-end, luxury design - they need little introduction. With a vibrant, eye-catching office space in a bustling part of Belfast City, they have undergone serious restructuring over the past 5 years to ensure that their Interior Designers are unencumbered to do what they do best - Design! This opportunity should appeal to those who are perhaps working in mainland UK and looking for a route back to Northern Ireland, or indeed elsewhere in a position that feels stagnant or uninspiring - this career move will certainly place you at the forefront of progressive and attractive interior solutions for a compelling range of clientele.
Your new role
You'll take charge of an independent business unit, developing a client base and portfolio with high-profile customers, bringing them from concept to delivery on their forever-home projects. You'll avail of this studios' in-house team of Architects, enabling you to offer not just customised interiors packages, but fully tailored residential buildings - turning their visions into reality. You'll operate with the levels of discretion expected by such a client base, using your experience in interior design, joinery detailing and wider construction processes to make processes smooth, bespoke, and truly high-end.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll be a degree-qualified interior designer, ideally with 3-5+ years post-qualification experience within residential interiors. You'll be a highly organised individual with a proven capacity for project-managing schemes from start to finish, often with multiple live projects simultaneously. You'll possess commercial awareness, and have the ability to set up and control FF&E budgets and processes for individual packages (using your communication skills to liaise and manage the internal workshop team). It's key that you have a passion and flair for design, with the ability to hand-sketch and provide solutions quickly / in-person, and think 'outside the box'. You'll be a confident presenter, with the ability to inspire customers and maintain trust throughout the project journey. It's essential that you have a full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle as this role will involve site visits and client meetings.
What you'll get in return
A full-time position with a studio synonymous with luxury residential design in Northern Ireland. This is a truly progressive opportunity for an Interiors specialist to make a big-picture move to a company that rewards ability and performance. With access to unparalleled projects and the chance to work with a top-tier team, now including full building projects - this could be the chance you've been waiting for. Apply early to avoid disappointment, or reach out for an informal consultation about whether this could be the right fit for you.
