Your New Role
This role is for a Senior Site Manager – Structures - on a 2 year long £25M project in the heart of Edinburgh. They are building a 250 bed student accommodation building using RC frame.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and logistics strategies to ensure efficient execution and timely completion.
- Lead and manage on-site teams, including subcontractors and tradespeople, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
- Implement and maintain rigorous quality control procedures to ensure all work meets the highest standards and project specifications.
- Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and safety meetings.
- Oversee complex logistics, including the coordination of deliveries, site access, and material handling to ensure smooth operations.
- Supervise the construction of the RC frame and ensure all structural elements are built to specification.
What You'll Need to Succeed
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Willingness to relocate to Scotland
- MUST HAVE
- Extensive knowledge of RC frames. - MUST HAVE
- Project based experience with multi storey developments. - Previous experience with Build to Rents (especially student accommodation) a plus.
- Strong knowledge of building regulations and health and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- A relevant qualification in construction management or a related field.
- SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, First Aid etc.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
