Two Senior UX Designer roles with University of the Arts London

Digital & Technology at UAL is on an exciting journey, transitioning from a ‘classic’ IT approach to a user-centred product approach to technology. We are investing in our people, and the processes enabled by digital, to evolve and transform the student and staff experience at UAL.

As a Senior UX Designer, you will develop the user experience practice, ensuring that all digital products and services are designed with the user at the core. This role will be instrumental in establishing and embedding UX, design, research, and accessibility standards across the team.

The role includes leading UX design services, enhancing existing products, and line managing and coaching other UX designers within the team. This role will also be responsible for developing data-driven processes, ensuring UX effectiveness and alignment with agile methodologies, enabling the team to deliver value swiftly. The role will also be an active member of our design community in Digital and Technology, providing coaching and mentoring support to other members.

In this recruitment round, we are seeking two Senior UX Designers to work across our Student Experience service teams as we focus on creating and enhancing a seamless and reliable digital experience.

These are new roles for the university, and you will champion the evolution and implementation of easy-to-use principles, standards, and methodologies for UX design, ensuring they are adopted and developed over time. We welcome applications from experienced UX Designers who want to work for an organisation that is committed to social purpose and is growing to face new opportunities and challenges.

This is a 3-year fixed term contract
