Site Manager required for a 6-month contract in Ross--shire

Your new company

As a temporary site manager, you will join a leading Tier 1 Contractor to contribute to the delivery of a large scale new build construction project in the Highlands. This role has an immediate start, and you will have a contract duration of approximately 6 months.

Your new role

In your new role as a Site Manager, you will report to the Project Manager on site and provide daily Site Management duties on a busy project. You will be focussed on managing subcontractors who are carrying out internal work such as joinery, plumbing & electrical and painting. As a Site Manager, you will monitor the safety and quality of work being undertaken against company health & safety and quality standards. You will provide updates on the programme to the wider site team. You will complete HSE documentation on site and record the progress of work. This role will see you work as part of a team and offer you the opportunity for a long-term contract and good working hours are on offer.

What you'll need to succeed

This Site Manager role will require you to hold an SMSTS, Black or Gold CSCS Card and a First Aid at work certificate. Ideally, you will live locally in the Highlands as this role does not offer accommodation/ subsistence. This role will require you to have a proven track record of working as a Site Manager, with particular focus on management of internal trades and construction work. The ability to work as part of a team is key, strong experience in subcontractor management is also important for this role. The health and safety of all workers on-site is of paramount importance. Therefore, you must be diligent and work to a high standard of safety and follow all reporting procedures.

This role is a great opportunity to work on a large scale project and secure a long-term contract of 6–9 months. In addition, you will be paid a competitive rate of pay - PAYE or Umbrella - and be paid weekly via Hays. There is the opportunity to work weekends in addition to Monday to Friday to maximise earnings.
