Working with a not-for-profit representative body, this role ensures the financial integrity of a specific programme through accurate reporting and efficient financial processes. The programme is funded by the government and this role is pivotal between the funder and the colleges/schools delivering the programme.
Your new role
As an integral part of the Programme Team, you will show a clear understanding of the financial requirements necessary to deliver the programme. You will maintain and deliver accurate reporting that is effectively communicated to the management team with accurate back-up data. You will take responsibility for ensuring that financial processes are efficient and run smoothly, problem-solving any issues encountered in a timely manner.

Your new role

You will take responsibility for ensuring that financial processes are efficient and run smoothly, problem-solving any issues encountered in a timely manner.
- Translate complex financial data into meaningful insights.
- Handle multi-project accounts, reconciliations, and complex financial structures.
- Maintain the programme General Ledger, financial statements, and reconciliations on SAGE.
- Compile accurate monthly expense claims forecasts for government funding approval.
- Produce detailed monthly forecasts and finance dashboard reports.
- Monitor and report on accruals and deferrals.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and government bodies.
What you'll need to succeed
- Accountancy Qualification (CIMA/ACCA/AAT)
- Strong communication skills to present financial insights to non-finance stakeholders
- Excellent SAGE 50 and Excel skills
- Experience in risk assessment, budget planning, and financial scenario analysis
- Experience producing Power BI dashboards
- Experience working within a charity, government body, or university sector
