Your new company

Due to unprecedented demand from our partnership schools across the Chester, Ellesmere Port and surrounding areas, Hays Recruitment is looking to recruit a number of motivated and reliable teaching assistants to join our supply team. As a member of our supply team, you will have the option to pick and choose your availability and gain experience across a number of primary schools.

Your new role

As a teaching assistant at Hays, you will have the opportunity to not only pick your own availability and preferred year group. You will also be able to work in a school of your choosing. As a teaching assistant, you will work alongside the class teacher to offer a stimulating and engaging learning environment for all pupils by building a strong constructive relationship with students and taking a pupil-centred approach to their education. You will aid in general classroom and behaviour management by utilising a myriad of learning equipment and implementing positive behaviour strategies. Other core duties (dependent on key stages) consist of intervention and booster sessions, phonics sessions/assessments, 1:1 and group support, social and emotional development, and SATs preparation.

To be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as a minimum of 40 days referenceable experience supporting a class from EYFS - KS2 within the last 2 years, as well as:
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is advantageous but not essential
  • Experience delivering intervention and booster sessions

What you'll get in return

If you are successful in your application, you will receive the full support, dedication and guidance of a senior DfE accredited recruitment consultant, as well as a wide range of benefits which include:
