As a Tax Assistant, you will play an integral role in supporting the firm’s tax team by handling compliance tasks and assisting with various tax advisory projects. The role is ideally suited to an individual with experience in both corporate and personal tax within an accountancy practice who is keen to further their skills in a supportive and dynamic environment. You will assist in the preparation and filing of both corporation and income tax returns for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring adherence to all regulatory deadlines and compliance standards; support the preparation of quarterly and annual tax reports, maintaining accurate and detailed records for audit and compliance purposes and communicate with clients to collect necessary documentation, answer queries and provide general tax support.

The firm is seeking a motivated and aspiring individual to join their tax team undertaking both corporate and private client work with a passion for tax. Ideally, you will have a minimum of one year’s experience in a tax assistant role within an accountancy practice in the UK and will probably already be studying for AAT, ATT or CTA. You will need to have a solid understanding of UK tax and compliance requirements, and be proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office products, notably Excel.
