Hays Education are supporting a thriving and oversubscribed secondary school located in the heart of the Wirral. This is a full time opportunity, covering KS3 and KS4 English, to start immediately after the Easter break, on an ongoing basis. Job share options could be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons to students of varying abilities across KS3 and KS4.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Develop and implement effective classroom management strategies.
- Cover lessons across various subjects in the absence of regular teachers.
- Support the school's ethos and contribute to the wider school community.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in English or a related field.
- Experience teaching English at the secondary level.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to cover a range of subjects when needed.
- A passion for education and a commitment to student success.
