About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a successful primary school in the Sheffield area. This role involves working closely with Key Stage 1 students, particularly those identified as having SEN, supporting their learning and development in a vibrant and inclusive environment.
The school has a fantastic reputation in the local area as a hub for the community, supporting families and encouraging engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional help.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Prepare and organise learning materials and resources.
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and ensure their inclusion in all activities.
- Participate in school events and extracurricular activities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teaching Assistant with relevant certifications.
- Experience working with Key Stage 2 students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A passion for education and a commitment to student development.
- Knowledge of SEN and strategies to support diverse learners is desirable.
