Radio Technical Strategy and Evolution Expert with experience with RFP
I am pleased to be partnering with a leading Financial Services organisation, based near in Basingstoke, Hampshire who are looking for a Radio Technical Strategy and Evolution Expert with experience with RFP to join their team.
Based in my client's modern UK office (1 day a week, rest from home) you will receive£500-£538 per day inside IR35 and the position will be due for extension after 6 months of tenure. Working on the architecture, this is a Radio Strategy based role as you meet business demands and customer expectation, production of technical roadmap, vendor technical relationship and new technology trials and innovation.

Working on the architecture, this is a Radio Strategy based role as you meet business demands and customer expectation, production of technical roadmap, vendor technical relationship and new technology trials and innovation.
As a Radio Technology Strategy and Evolution Expert you will be responsible for setting out radio capability roadmap to meet business requirements and provision of guidance for the implementation of such technologies. Identify, evaluate and develop strategic position for new radio technologies, access and produce actionable recommendations. Your will work on defining the key requirements for the Radio RFI/RFPs, evaluating the responses of vendors in detail, identifying the gaps and strengths. You will need to understand and take account of the wider radio and business strategy requirements and in your role, you will be encouraged to challenge and propose amendments to Radio’s current plans and thinking.
To apply you will need
- Good understanding of Open RAN technology and ecosystem, and practical experience in this field
would be highly desirable. - A very good understanding of the 3GPP technologies LTE, LTE-Advanced, LTE-Advanced Pro, 5G, 5G NSA and SA & 5G-Advanced technology family.
- Good understanding of key emerging technologies and trends such as Virtualisation, Cloud,
Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and their use in Radio Networks. - Good understanding of Kubernetes, Containers, CaaS, Orchestration, Open RAN RIC and SMO.
- Ability to understand the end customer needs and relates back to a coherent technology strategy and decision process. Make sure consumer is at heart of any decision.
- Very strong presentation skills and ability to communicate complex technical ideas and concepts appropriately to audiences of varying technical background.
