Reporting to the Finance Director, you will support a thriving business with a current turnover of £15M.

Your new role

As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for providing a professional and efficient service to the finance function. Your duties will include verifying, posting, and processing a large volume of supplier invoices, debit notes, and credit notes. You will generate coding, verify and reconcile statements, and handle all purchase enquiries. Additionally, you will complete daily, weekly, and end-of-month procedures, maintaining the integrity of accounts payable on a timely basis. You will also support the wider finance team and business in all payable-related issues.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need full working knowledge and experience of accounts payable principles. You should be educated to GCSE level in Maths and English (Grade 4 / C or above). Experience with MS Excel is advantageous, and knowledge of using SAGE 200 is desirable but not essential. You should be enthusiastic, approachable, and possess a can-do attitude. The ability to challenge current processes and consider more efficient ways of operating across the department and wider business is also important.
