Your new role
This Management Accountant role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is experienced in Reporiting and Analyssis to come in and devel;op the Business Partnering side of their career. This also has a genuine progression route to leadership for the right candidate.
- Prepare monthly management accounts ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Produce variance analysis and investigate key discrepancies.
- Support the Finance Director in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Assist in year-end accounts preparation and liaise with external auditors.
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all financial records are accurate and up to date.
- Conduct cost analysis to improve profitability and cost efficiencies in the manufacturing process.
- Monitor and report on manufacturing KPIs
- Work closely with operations and procurement teams to improve cost control.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure optimal working capital levels.
- Oversee credit control and supplier payment schedules.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax obligations, and corporate policies.
- Implement and maintain strong financial controls and process improvements.
- Assist with VAT returns, payroll, and other regulatory reporting.
- Support the implementation and improvement of finance systems to enhance reporting and efficiency.
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools for better business insights.
- Identify and implement efficiencies in finance and operational processes.
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
- Experience in manufacturing would be an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to handle large datasets.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence business decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
