Your new role
My client is looking for a part-qualified actuary with strong communication and technical skills to support their significant business growth. You will be involved in a variety of client assignments, working closely with other experts in the division.
The actuarial team’s work includes external and internal audits, reserve reviews, Solvency II actuarial reporting, IFRS 17 transition assessments, capital calculations and merger and acquisition due diligence analysis.
Their clients include London Market underwriters, Syndicates at Lloyd’s, P&I clubs, captive insurers and other insurance and reinsurance entities underwriting commercial and personal lines businesses based in the UK and across Europe.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered, as a guide, you will ideally have 2–4 years of UK general insurance experience in reserving. Experience in capital modelling and/or pricing would also be beneficial.
You will be making good progress with your actuarial exams.
What you'll get in return
The salary range is quite broad, being from £40k to £70k, as its dependent on the level and skills of the applicant. A full study support package is provided.
